Amy:

Hi, I'm Amy, an instructional designer and learning enthusiast. I'm so glad you're here. As a listener of this specific episode, you are a part of something really cool. You are listening to the inaugural episode of the share what you learned podcast, a podcast for learning professionals to share something they've learned or are learning in the field of instructional design. Early on in my career, I discovered that learning and development professionals are some of the most generous and helpful people out there. We love sharing things that we've learned and in doing so, we get to help other people experience success. I personally find that to be truly rewarding. Another really cool piece of the learning and development community, though, is that not only do we love to share the things we've learned, but we also love learning from others. A friend once said to me, when you're learning something new, there's always someone you can learn from and there's also always someone you can teach. Truth be told, This podcast was born from a weekly LinkedIn post where I got to learn from my peers. Each week, I'd asked my network to share something they'd learned time and time again, I was blown away with the amazing things my network was learning. From these posts, I learned hacks for software that I was using daily, I learned about tools that helped to make my job more efficient. I also learned to laugh because sometimes when you're learning something new, you just have to laugh at yourself. What started as a weekly LinkedIn post has now morphed into this here podcast. My hope with this podcast is that you the listener, are able to peer into someone else's learning process and gain helpful tips and tricks to support you in your work as an instructional designer. I also hope we laugh a lot too. I've heard it said he who laughs most learns best. So go ahead and hit that subscribe button because more goodness is headed your way on this the share what you learned podcast. I couldn't be more excited to have you along for the journey.
